Community Retirement Living

this is kind of a no brainer as to which job to choose:current job pay is $8.75/hr i work all hrs all shifts as a personal care attendant…attend psu employers at times expects me to skip class to cover shifts no benefits work about 32 hrs a wk (atm lost hrs scheduled for 13 hrs a wk for the rest of month) now the job interview was for a retirement facility the ppl take care of htemselves so it is nothing like that just making sure hte common kitchen and the foyer and such r vacuumed and picked up showing apartments changing lightbulbs calling maintance but mostly planning community activities…30 hrs a wk i get to set my own hrs as long as they r consistant each wk have my own office (only worker in the building no other office personnel watching over me) salaried at $350/wk and get one wk paid vacation….however on call 24/7 for emergencies only (ie fire pipes breaking) do not have to handle any invoices or anything of that nature also no benefits tho…now my question…is it disloyal to my current company? dispite some of the problems i have had w/ them in the past (horrible hrs low pay being placed w/ ignorant consumers and then having the office refuse to take me out fo the situation) is it wrong? i no this sounds crazy but i feel kinda badly bc alot of the consumers realy need help. how can i leave this job and feel good about it? i feel like i m desserting them. any ideas or advice? (also im a nursing major would it look bad later on on my resume that i quit a job involving medical duties to do a job w/ office duties)

I think that maybe “teenage wasteland” should be changed to “geriatric wasteland” and “can you see the real me?” should have the chorus,”or do you need to go get your spectacles?” What are some more teen angst songs that were sung by now retirement community aged rockers? And do you think Mick Jagger should stop doing that before he breaks a hip or something?

ok, i am 16 yo and i live in FL. i have 2 parents who are on the verge of retirement from their Insurance Buisness, an older sister who is trying to get into nursing school (age 20, still lives at home, shares a bedroom with me), an older brother (age 18, still living at home) who is a volunteer fire-fighter trying to get hired fulltime, and a little brother (age 10) who I am VERY VERY close to (he doesn’t live with us, but spends about maybe 1-2 weekends a month with us). I have been homeschooled my whole life, and play softball spring and fall (i have friends there), i go to community college (dual-enrolled), and have about 5 friends from church (I’m pentecostal). i have lived a very sheltered life and I am very shy. the question of college is coming up, and I am thinking of going to Regent University in VA. i want to major in Broadcasting. What would it be like for me to be all by myself in VA? should i reconsider? thanks for any help. (i would be enrolling fall of 09).oh yeah, i’ve never had a boyfriend or been on a date (i don’t believe in dating, but courting). i have a friend from church who has a crush on me, and i like him too. we’ve liked each other for about 2 years. we wanted to get together as more than friends when i turn 18. but i’m gonna turn 18 and then go to college. he is 8 mo. younger than me, and i’ll already be gone by the time he turns 18 (which is what we needed to wait for). how would this work? thanks…
